Hey y'all,
   Thanks so much for the input from everyone. Tim and I have talked at length about the who, what, when, where, how and feel pretty good about this event. We will definitely pull from Slim, Timco, and Dan Cashen for their ideas on setting up an Ace Race course. Additionally, there will be field events between the two rounds i.e. Putting comp, Maximum Time Aloft, Longest/most accurate drive, etc. Tim and I want to make this fun, with lots of good ace runs, music, friends, and lots of prizes.
   
  I am stoked to see this much interest in this already. The past Ace race prototype discs have been awesome. Perhaps you throw a Zone? It was proto two years ago. Last year's was killer before I lost it Down Under (I called it Buzz Jr.)For everyone with ideas on how to do this, we appreciate the positive. Details to come on Reg. and course layout. Remember, Most Fun Wins!

Rick, I hope you have a broken in MTA disc. I would gladly pay for using it.

This years ace race disc is a discraft Wizard... not really what it is called, but it sure feels and looks like one to me.  The pro d ones even feel and smell (yes... smell) like a wizard.  Almost identical mold.  Haven't thrown one but assume they fly similar.  I was told it is a challenger bottom and a magnet top... creating... a WIZARD!  Last years was a smaller diameter buzzz... not as much carry and a little more stable.  They haven't run them production yet... not sure why.  I still have some from last year if anyone wants any.  I would suggest not using the teepads at whichever course you play, just put temp teepads marked with flags between 80 (more technical shots) and 175 (more open).  Wouldn't get too much longer than that since it is a putter, and you want to make sure everyone should be able to reach it.  Just my .02.  Either way, these are a lot of fun for everyone, and fast pace, which will get you finished with plenty of time for extracurricular activities.

Lars, Thanks for the input. We have heard a lot of the same on distances and changing up the shots. All the feedback we can get is great! Thinking about some really fun shots for this event. Can't wait to throw the Discraft Wiz, and yes that is the same description I have heard about it. Waiting on player packs now.

yes.  We would like as many peeps to pre register as possbile but of course you can sign up the day of..as long as there's space!   .  If we get close to capacity i'll let you know so you can decide.
