Workboots "Steel Toed"
« on: October 01, 2009, 08:16:13 PM »
I need to find a shoe store with many brands of boots size 14 to try on. My feet are hurting in Red Wings and just Started hurting in Wolverine. Somewhere in the KC, Lawrence, Topeka, St. Joe area.

Vanderbilt's in Lawrence, 23rd street on the east side of town, east of Haskell at least.  Good store.  There's also one just south of Savannah on 59 highway.

Ace?  I'll take a freakin' BIRDIE!

Have you checked E. Edwards Work Wear in Lansing? Feldman's near WyCo has a nice selection of boots too. I can see how a size 14 might be hard to find a good selection of though.

Or... if you don't mind ordering online, Zappos is a great place to by shoes. Very quick shipping and returns are easy if you aren't happy or whatever. Here is a link to A selection of Timberlands for you to look at. Timberlands are some of the best boots I've owned.

There is an E Edwards on the Boulevard next to Strasser True Value Hardware.  They have a great selection and they know the products.

For sure... their selection is much better than the Lansing store.

Yeah, I've seen a few pairs of disc golfers' work boots, usually 3-5 seasons old and still in pristine condition...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will look up some of the stores for sure. I know some people have real jobs and know my concerns. Some suggest I DG Pro. for a living. I keep it  under consideration but understand I am classified as Obese and just 2 to 3 months living on my winnings in Disc Golf I would be in my ideal weght or skinnier but thanks for thinking of me.

I went looking for boots Saturday. The Sid B. warehouse in Lenexa is not open on Saturdays so I started in Lansing but ended up in KC on Southwest Boule. just the bottom of the hill from Rosey. Great selection my feet are happy again. Thanks for the info.
