If you do not show up for a league event within a reasonable time to defend the #1-#5 tags then you must give it up to someone who will or in fact face possible banishment from the tags the following year.

come on parker, whats a reasonable amount of time, and why would stop someone from supporting KC discgolf

No mark I do not care if I ever get it.  It's the point of the tags to have the most wanted tags in circulation.  It use to be a rule that you had to play at least 1 league a week.  If you can't that doesn't mean go hide in a group of friends until the end of the season.   It just takes the fun out of having tags.   Of course I don't think anyone would ever get banned.   But really.   What is the point of having tags if they don't get played.  Is the new tag game now to just get the #1 tag and hide?   I guess we just wont have tags if they are just becoming bag ornaments.

leagues are hard for me to do..but i'm almost always somewhere on the weekends
i don't get it,why would someine hide or not play discgolf just because of a low tag
maybe the holder of tags1-10 should let it be known where they are going to play and what time(just kidding)

Steve got the #1 from me in the last round of the KCWO on June 20. I had held it and had it in play for 3 leagues and 3 KCWO rounds prior to him getting it.

I do think tags need to be in play at weekly leagues, especially tags below 20. No biggie though.

So Mark in your case if you had a low tag say in the single digits. I would be expected to bring it out.  IF you know you won't be at any KCFDC events in the near future then take a picture of yourself with it and give it to the next guy who will.  Like Tracy said it is just about fun.  And when you take the fun out of it because you want to be "special" it becomes just something no one cares to do anymore. 

I think this gives me an idea for 2011 tag.

That's kinda hard for some of us that work most days until 5:30 or 6:00.  I do try to make it out to a league or 2 a month, and most of the KCFDC events.

That's simply not reasonable to some of us.  I don't play very many leagues because I work.  I do however play a ton of casual golf and most of the KCFDC weekend events.  Should I not be able to hold a low tag then?

hey kcfdc members!  sorry about none of you telling me the rules of the bag tag challenge.  i dont get on here to often so i dont know whats up much.  now that i know i will do my best to get rid of  #1.  i initially got the tag from tom b. and have tried to make it to league on tue at shawnee mission ever since, but havent been able to make it. i do support the club, but dont make it to very many club events. i will try to more in the future.  maybe it should be made a little more clear next year to everyone about the low tags, because i didnt know.   i do play every sat. and sun morning and any week day morn by 8am. text me and ill play if i can 816 582 4863.  tom i WILL be at shawnee mission this tue. the 17th with or without #1. sorry if i twisted any panties guys.. it wasnt my intention.  btw i have played often and defended it at worlds as well. peace.  "tattoo"

Its about hte fun, you defend it you play it, it happens.  I took #3 out of St. Louis for 6 months a couple of years back, it happens folks, it happens.....

If I had #1 and moved to LA, I doubt that would be high on the list of concerned items to clear up before I moved...but then I am not tattoo'd.....you could always get the #1 tag put on your bod for preservation!
