Question about driving
« on: October 19, 2005, 05:53:56 PM »
Here recently I have got my drives out of wack. Right before I release my pinky finger is automatically pulling off the bottom of the disc. I just recently started doing this, it is weird. It is causing my disc to fly right, I am still getting some distance but it messes me up more mentally.......has this happened to anyone else and any feedback.

um....make sure it doesn't come off??

Sounds like a smartass answer, but it's not tough.  JUST DO IT!  practice a bit, off the course, at a park.

It won't be tough.

I don't throw with the pinky finger on the rim at all.  The grip I use is called a "pinch" grip, I guess, with my all my fingers and thumb right on the outside rim.  I can throw 400' or so on my best drives and I don't believe that I personally could throw farther using a power grip.

Yeah, but it really screws up your fingers, you constantly have to tape them up schoen-hopper!
