Looking for a 44 at Cliff!!!
« on: November 25, 2009, 12:03:25 PM »
No, I'm not talking about a weapon dumped at Cliff although I wouldn't bet against it. Cliff has been returned to it's worlds pin settings for the holidays.  I'm looking for someone to one up Matt Orum's 45.  Best of luck and Happy Holidays to you all!

Unless someone takes 3 strokes to get through #5 and #6 (as Matt did), I don't think that anyone is going to come close.

They *could* deuce both those settings and best Matty O's score on #1, which was a "5"...  Not gonna hold my breath, though...

Thanks for setting it long Drew.  I will be out there early on Saturday to give it my best.

Hole 6 is still my only ace out there despite hitting it almost 3 years ago.  Course, back then it wasn't #6 and,  it was shot from a shorter t-pad.  I doubt any1 will ever ace that hole from the new tee.  Definitely one of the toughest holes now.  If anyone wants to play at Cliff this weekend (or today) give me a shout with desired time/day your free.  Would like to get back out there to play the worlds format.  I won't play Cliff alone.

why wont you play cliff alone?  Silly, simply silly.  Someon can and will ace #6 in the current/original place.  Barsby hit the pole, and Matty-O put it 4' from it, there were a few other shots that were pretty close as well.

not so much on 15 as 18.  15 is less than 400'.  with the correct wind, i've seen a couple of crazy shots get inside 100' of 17's peninsula.  you can add that to your list though it is a much riskier bird to go after.  with your game jack, you probably throw an old san marino to the short pin and lay up with a putter.  tap in for three and save your risk/reward bird shot for 18.
