Innova Katana

Has anyone had a chance to play with the Katana by Innova?  It is supposed to be similar to the Boss, but fly more like a Sidewinder.  Any thoughts on this new disc?

Fast and Flippy.  Great for Long Tailwind shots.

Very good for long hyzer flips.  If you get it to hit the ground flat, it doesn't have the big skip that the Boss has.  Those with less than 400' distance don't have to torque into the Katana like they do a Boss.  I would expect it to replace a lot of people's Bosses.

Most people that throw the Boss don't have the arm to throw it.  They have to torque it over too much instead of throwing it clean.

I recently received Star, R-Pro, and Champ Katanas. I love them. The Star plastic seems most stable. It is going to be a nice disc for many.

Thanks for the comments all...I appreciate it.  I went down to DGW and got one today, and then went to Swope for about 20 throws.  I like it so far; it will definetely add to my range of shots from what I have seen.

Bought my Katana yesterday and on the very first throw on #1 upstairs at Rosie I had a near ace. It hit the tree right above the basket and ended up behind it.  When I got to air it out on #12, I had the longest drive I have ever thrown on that hole ending up about thirty feet out. So my Katana earns an A from me.

p.s.  My Champion Boss will not go bye-bye.  I will still throw it regularly along side my Katana.

I threw it at Olathe glow last night on a couple of the long holes, and was quite happy with the results.  It's very long, and very controllable.
