53.15 at swope? what's the catch? can't just be wind.
#1 Long (ob, trees, and headwind), #3 Long (headwind), #4 long (probably not with a tailwind), #6 long (headwind), then #13-#14 from the longs into a headwind (#13 normally doesn't have that much wind, even though it comes out of the south). Aside from that, there were a lot of casual players on the course, which (at least for us) wasn't exactly a distraction free round. Leo had a disc land about 3 feet from him, and I got knocked down by an errant tee shot. Again, these are all just guesses.
In no wind, the course we played would between a 50 and 51 SSA. So 2-3 strokes from a steady 20mph with gusts up to 30 isn't that surprising, considering a lot of the harder holes were playing into the wind.
