This is just a quick heads up. Emporia, KS is hosting a SuperTour on Aug. 19th, and 20th, 2006. 2 GREAT courses in one park.
More info to come.....!

This seems inapproriate to me......National Tour events in our region deserve the support of the local players & clubs....especially the President of the KCFDC!  I would think that it wouldn't be too difficult to schedule the Lions Den on a different weekend.

For those who haven't played the Glass Blown Open, the courses have always been immaculate and challenging with alternate layouts for each round.  I would highly recommend this tournament.

Man that Blows that these 2 events are going down on the same weekend.

Is this Lions Den a PDGA event? If it is, isn't there some kind of 500 mile rule or something?

I am pretty sure that the USDGC rep. for Kansas is going to be up for grabs at the Emporia event.

Sorry, cant change my Birthday and Dick's and the other Leo's (8-22).  Not trying to be mean, just saying I'll miss it.  The Lion's Den is not a PDGA event, it is a Birthday Party Event at Cliff Drive, we will miss many people at the bash this year because of the Glass Blown I am sure, but that is fine in my book, more power to the PDGA event is that is what you want to do.  I personally think that it is great that it has reached the "A" Tier status, I think that it is AWESOME, but I am not going to give up my Birthday party for it.

I wouldn't get feathers ruffled, the Lion's Den is basically a small,  birthday party/discgolf event certainly nothing that would keep any competitive player from going to Emporia.

edit: guess I didn't hit post fast enough;-)

Yep, pretty much what I was saying, I hate how things in chat rooms look different than what you meant, or be taken slightly out of context.  Guess that is what I get for typong what I was thinking when I was reading the post.

Thanks Sean! :D

Eric,

Is the KDGA paying the PDGA sanctioning fees this year or next year? Either way it's cool. I'll be there! Probably be my second A-tier this year.
