If Bag Tag's are coming back in 2006 I saw a great idea on another forum today:



Dual purpose bottle openers!  This is from the Delaware Disc Golf Club, but I think it's a great idea.

I found the cheapest solution to the Bag Tag's yet.




That my friends is authentic Cow Ear Tag, at only 68¢ each these are not a bad idea.  This particular tag is 2 3/8"H x 2 7/8"W, with Number size: 1 3/4", they come in 11 colors and can have printing on the back up to 3 lines.  We could easily get: Kansas City Flying Disc Club 2006 Bag Tag Challenge on them, no logo but for 68¢ this is the most cost effective tag I've found.

I know KC is considered a cow town but that's ridiculous.....  It might be kinda fun but shouldn't it have at least a little cool factor?

I like the stainless steel one best but I defer to the at large board for input.

Maybe thats not the best idea, but I just want to provide the most options I can find for budget purposes.

I didnt even think of the cowtown reference but it does fit :D

Hahaha....that is funny....the cow tag idea crossed my mind but that is about as long as it stuck around.

Although cheap...I'm not sure it represents a reputation we want to get started for the club.....????

Another idea is the silicone wristbands that Mr. Armstrong made so popular...only about $1.60 each...

So what the fact is Kansas City is a cow town no matter how you look at it. Hell there are even cut out's of cow's throught out the city. I say we embrace it, and run with it. We'll either be the laughing stock of the disc golf community, or complimented on or sense of humor.

I got this idea from a club member in Houston.  So if they are good enough for Texas why not us?  :)  I figure if it has a number, and the club information on it most people are not going to immediately associate them with cow ears, we could pull them off.


Do you want to attach the Silicone bracelet to the bag or wear them?  I dont think the number would be visible enough on them.

I agree it's a bit played out...just another thought producer...

I think instead of something being another club idea, or "good enough for texas" we should come up with something on our own...which brings it back to the stainless laser tags...that way we can make our own graphics and such.

Please take my good enough for Texas comment tongue and cheek, I don't like Texas :D

Stainless are the nicest of the bunch though I agree.  So besides KC being a Cow town what else do we have to make a unique design around?

kind of cool if you could get a bulk rate on small plastic homer keychains and have numbers applied to them. :lol:
