YOUNG PARK 6-2-10

17 out for the first league night... Thanks to everyone who came out and hung in there with my stir craziness. Hot round was a 50 by James Hefner. John and I were just out for a walk in the park. ;D Steeler Doug took the sandbags off to take ADV with a 59 ;D Ted won masters with a 55 and 2 way tie for first in INT with 65's by Roland and Bill the TD. 2 DNF's on the first night!!!

Great to see.  Sorry I couldn't make it out; I ended up working until 5:30 and didn't know how bad rush hour would have been to get there from the Grandview Triangle.  SSA's in the morning, but I bet it's going to be north of 56.

Guess i will be going "diving" in the pond on #7 ::) :'( I clipped a tree & it must have went in couldnt find my new Wraith... since i was already going swimming when we got to 10 i went for the shot over the pond & CLEARED it shot for the bird missed it saved my par from 30'+....

Course can be BRUTAL when u start chasing BIRDS...I wonder how many DNF'S we will see out here...

 Trust me i feel their pain a FLOCKING 72 but its still better than a DNF...

 last few holes Paul had showed up to chat with Roland & kept saying just lay up.... NONSENSE  i wont ever CONCEDE a hole from the tee pad...

I go for EVERYTHING from 500' in you just got BELIEVE in YOURSELF... got a swift KICK in the NUTZ yesterday...2nd round of singles here Young Park 2 me 0

Im not sure what happend Brian. I know that he did have his daughter with him so she may have wanted to leave.

On a side note folsk make sure you are wearing repellant out here and doing a good tick check once you get home. Last night when I arrived home I found two tiny little ticks on my thigh.

it's really the only course i spray for.  little ticks = lyme.


matty wasn't shooting that bad.  if he'd finished the last 3 holes with par he'd been at 66.  but he had is daughter and i must have just been time.


james lit it up.  4 birdies in a row at one point and only 2 bogies all night.

I was there and DNFed as well. We had a 5-man card that was taking forever to get through the course and I had to leave to go to work. I was on pace to shoot 5 down and was having the round of my life... Err... Okay, not really, I was probably on pace to shoot 12 over or something like that but a guy can dream... ;D

That format just makes much easier for me to input values for league ratings. Anything to keep me under 10 hours/week doing those is appreciated.
