We weren't granted permission to have a pdga tournament on this date due to the State Championships in Beloit, which at the time was scheduled for that weekend.
Also, we haven't reached a reasonable agreement with the county to use 'their' course(s). The main thing was that their fees went up 350% from last year. I'm assuming they have raised fees to help pay for their new 6+ million dollar baseball/sports complex, parking lots, guard rails all the way around the lake, grounds keeping building, expansive campground upgrades, 7 mile concrete trail around the lake, and newly paved lake roads. I woudln't mind so much paying the added fees, if the course, hadn't been somewhat neglected/overlooked by the county when compared to the rest of the lake. We suggested that we would agree to pay the extra fees if they would use them for course upgrades (planting trees, alt tees/pins, benches, etc...), and that didn't work. The course parking lot is the only parking lot around the lake that is not paved, and quite frankly is the only area that hasn't had ANY upgrades (besides a thin layer of new gravel on the parking lot that took two years of begging to get completed). I suppose I/we should be happy that we have a course out there at all, it's just tough to look past certain things. I suppose I could have just shortened that story by saying it isn't fiscally feasible!

If anyone has had this same issue with their parks and rec and it was resolved, I would love pick your brain! pm me!
