What time you going to be there tomorrow Timko? I should be out there by 4:45 and could help mark some OB before taking league $$$.

I probably won't be out until 5:15.  I don't think I can leave work early today.

I need to put out the 1 temp basket that doesn't have a sleeve before league, as well as mark the 3 temp teepads.

So I added up all of the numbers for the course, and it's just north of 7300' feet, and marked as par 61.

As far as the layout, you can take a look tonight at league.  A good number of short holes, and quite a few very long holes.  I have avoided the tweener holes (the 420'-450') as much as possible.

Mother Nature is going to get a kick in the face from me if this rain doesn't stop.

2 of the tees will be on asphalt (1 and 3).  Hopefully I can get a flypad for the 2nd hole.

The gold rope on the left of #13 needs to either continue on down the fairway around the hole, or have a delimiting end, like taking it straight east about 100'.

It's got a delimiting end about 100' from the basket.  That's actually already defined.  I just need to clear up what's going on before that.

I would really, really appreciate some help today.  I should be off work around 5:30.  We'll finish laying the OB rope and finish spray painting the OB lines on the road.  With a couple of people, I'm hoping that we can get all the work knocked out today.

Are you placing flags along the rope or something that makes the rope OB visible from the tee? Seems like a lot of work. Good job and thanks  ???

The rope actually goes pretty quick.  I 90% of number 4 done before it started to rain; it took me about 30 minutes by myself.  I roughed in the OB Tuesday with some flags about 50 ft apart.  During the event, flags should be about 20 ft apart with rope between them.  That way, if someone trips on the rope and breaks it, the flags will be close enough to allow a group to make a ruling.

Timko, Slim Neal, and myself got the OB's flagged/roped/sprayed today.  The course is looking MEAN with all that rope.  #3 into a hard headwind and OB on both sides of the fairway looks particularly nasty.  Everybody playing the open make sure to thank Timko for all his hard work out there at Swope this week.  He informed me he is SWAMPED at work right now and has been having to put in 4-5 hours at home AFTER he has been working on the course! You the man, Chris :o

Thanks for helping today Spencer.  I hope you guys really enjoy the course.  While the course sits at a par 59, there are 8/9 legit deuces out there (provided you can keep it in bounds).

great job on the rope and set up Chris. I'm just upset I don't get another chance at that one...
