DD events are on the 21 22nd ,Olathe Open has been renamed to go with a festival of sorts and I thinbk has moved to Sept.Tom B will fill us in !

So back to Aug 7,8th this will be a fun event.If you have never played this format it is a blast ,anything can happen.

Before we start talking about lack of consistincey we should look in our own yard .How many cancelations did we have this year.I wonder if anyone else could have used those dates ?

Well....I used to do this with the LSD Doubles event, but it got too much for me to do alone any longer to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Cliff Drive Doubles-
Rd1 Best shot

Rd2-6-6-6
Holes 1-6 alternate shot
Holes 7-12 best shot
Holes 13-18 Worst shot as determined by other groups playing, yeah they could be nice and let you play from an easier lie.....

So I say bring on all the alternate shot doubles you can, it goes faster, is moer challenging, and a truer reflection of partner golf.

That is why I like the national dubs format and that is what we are using for the State dubs

Depending on what happens in the next couple days ,We could have a course change that will make this event much better.Also we are keeping the entries low enough to entice more teams to come and play this format .

Oh brother... Who cares what the State Doubles Championship is called? Maybe a corporate sponsor will jump onboard and feed the winners for the rest of their lives.... "Tyson Turkey Two-Player Team Throw-off"...

And if another (friendly) group ends up holding a PDGA tourney at the same time as a non-PDGA event, it can't be that big of a deal. Isn't it NICE to have choices within driving distance? Turns out some people like choices.

This looks like a pretty good schedule for this summer    If I have any time I'll update our calendar to include these regional events...
