Anyone have any intel on the course there, or the tournament being hosted? Trying to decide between this and the MAO.

I was just reading the MAO post and thought, "hey, I should ask if anybody knows about that"... good timing.

Oh yeah, you aren't at work anymore. Cheater.

I thought about posting in that thread, but didn't want to hijack it.

It's a decision between a course that no one has ever played with who knows how many people coming vs. 2 good courses and 1 terrible course that probably a lot of people will attend.

Melvern appears to be a one day B tier with two rounds on one course. The MAO is a two day B tier with higher entry fees and a bigger payout on three courses. Perhaps that will help in the decision making process.

Positives: huge tee pads, new double chain discatchers, couple good scenery shots, some ob road.
Negatives: $4.20 every time u play, very few trees.
This course played very similar to Lake Shawnee. Holes 8 & 15 were very cool.

Are the few trees they have well placed?

And also, how is the distance? It is not many trees and short to mid or does it have some length to it? Thanks again Leo.

Oh yeah, where is it at the lake? It seems to be a pretty big lake to just try to find it when I get there...

Can't help to chuckle at the 4.20 cost.

Ya the 4.20 was pretty funny. The trees don't come into play and it has smp length.

Why decide between the 2?  MAO is this weekend and the lake isn't till next.

I wish I could go to tournies every weekend. I really do.

Think I'm gonna head to the lake. At least that way I know that I'll get a decent am payout because DD is always decent with selection.
