YP 7-14-10 "Tom takes over!!!"
« on: July 15, 2010, 01:22:35 PM »
I don't know what the wind speed was nor do I know what the temp was. What I do know is that is was hotter than a MF!!!

#6 basket was moved to the alternate placement now that the mowing allowed it.

We had 11 guys and one gal out for the muggy night in the woods. Tom Verstraete owned the course with a 58 (his personal best)! I myself shot like crap after putting up a 54 (my personal best) tues. night.

Yeah Caleb you got plenty o'snap!  I've seen you SNAP several times (as in melt down).

Drive for show put for dough (I can do neither so I rely on luck most of the time).  I would rather be lucky than good, good takes too much work :).

Yeah, you can "make" some of your own luck with practice.

But I don't know how much practice helped with my 80' bogey save after grip locking my 2nd shot on 7 in to the road.  It did look pretty sweet when it went in.

I have a feeling those that have shot the hot round out there thus far would beg to differ.

Great shooting Tom V  8)

Caleb, you CAN'T fly a disc with no snap, you young whipper-snapper!! Spin creates LIFT - that's how I roll, err, fly  ;D

I was REFERRING to my EXCESSIVE SNAP & WARP SPEED ARM SPEED... I've tried throwing slow & with less SNAP it dont work for me hence the reference to needing my disc with a BRICK strapped to it ;D

Throw it slow with the same snap, and you'll be fine.

Question, what causes a disc to change direction or "flip":  Speed or Snap?

Answer: too much Speed with too little Snap. Finding that happy balance makes for a smooth forward-projected flight  ;)  Although, this won't cure grip-lock and throwing the disc backwards  :o
