Yep. Nose down promotes a disc to flip. One of the coolest shots you'll see big arms throw for fun is a nose down midrange shot throw 50' in the air in the 450' range (that's how you used to get big D back in the day), which can turn over and just go without ever stalling.
The slow the disc, the less nose angle sensitive (tendency to stall out) it is. As a result, those that can crush but have nose angle issues will find similar distances in their midrange and drivers.
