Where and what is "Ted's Dread?

Private course in Piper. 18 holes with DISCatchers. He had a nice event last Halloween and I expect he'll try and do it again this year. Otherwise, it's pretty much by appointment to go play it. But it is available for special events as well. Just gotta contact Ted.

You may do a write in vote for sure in your list.  It will get points as all other course will when I tally them.

Where and what is "Ted's Dread?

Since the question was posed the answer is now available in the form of an invitation to see for yourself.

Next Tuesday, 8/3, @ 5:30 shooting for a tee off before 6pm. Ted's Dread is alive and well. We have three already planning to be there.

I may have to show up for that.  I've only got the change to play that course once...

I'm going with my top 10 area courses. Not that they are the best, just my favorite to play.

1 Water Works (what a homie)
2 Cliff Drive
3 Young Park
4 Down Under
5 Jackson Park 18 (Need to get up there more often!)
6 Wyco
7 Ted's Dread
8 Old Pike CC (nuther homie vote)
9 Pleasant Hill Lake
10 Swope I guess

My goodness we are lucky aren't we?!

After a lot of data entry I have comprised the new TOP TEN LIST for KC.

With almost 40 entries I feel we have a pretty good idea how the collective votes.  And here is your results.

1 - Water Works
2 - Cliff Drive
3 - Swope Park
4 - WYCO
5 - Rosedale Up Top
6 - Blue Valley
7 - Down Under
8 - Prairie Center
9 - Pleasant Hill
10 - Young Park

Thanks to everyone who in the past and as of recently given your opinion.   The 2011 Bag Tag are going to reflect these results.   More to come at the CC this weekend!

The reality of this situation is that we have many awesome courses. I am going to try Old Pike tomorrow.
IMHO The parameters should be set for: in no particular order:
Car and persons accessible (as in parking, finding the layout logical without a map,  first assessment for the novice player, cleanliness, amenities)
Variety of skill of play, reconfiguration of course
Quality of baskets. teepads, signage
Maintenance of the course
Safety
Non homie attitude

OK I lied, I'm a homie
Swope meets these criteria,
If you haven't played lately, it is sweet.

sWOPE hOMIE
I throw a whippet with mucho mungo
But it turned over and coondogged a tree

With over 300 active members in the club, and thousands more that don't play.  I trust th judgement of 40 people that bothered to respond more than I would these "real players" you refer to.

5 people picked Prairie Center as the #1 course in the metro area.  Seriously?

Put down your shiny new speedy driver and learn to throw the Roc!
