5 people picked Prairie Center as the #1 course in the metro area.  Seriously?

Dude, no need to be a hater.

Not hating at all, just curious how one could possible rate PC as the #1 course in the metro area.  Vicinity to your residence does not make a course great.  Don't get me wrong, PC is not a bad course, but I doubt you will find many people living outside of KC to even mention it when talking about KC courses.  While conversely take your pick of almost any top pro or avid DGer that has played in KC and you will here many of them mention several other courses.

Exhibit A http://www.innovadiscs.com/team/star-team/avery-jenkins.html
Exhibit B http://www.innovadiscs.com/team/star-team/barry-schultz.html
Exhibit C http://www.innovadiscs.com/team/star-team/ken-climo.html

I could continue but you get the point.

In all seriousness I was just curious who found PC to be the #1 course in KC and for what reason.

i was quite surprised the #10 Young Park was less favored than Blue Valley in the poll. If you're reading this reply NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ace Race will be at Young Park on Sat, 10-23-10 and flex starting at 9/10:00 am, this is going to be a really fun event, running aces! If you have not played this state of the art course, try to make it out to the Ace Race, great players pack only $25.00, see tournament thread.

Nope, I voted for WW. I was just trying to make sure the people who did vote for PC weren't ostracized for their opinions.

While pulling together all the #'s you could see quite well who the top 6 courses were going to.  It would have taken another 40 people to knock those out of their spots.   The bottom 4 were close but not to the top 6.   I think Young would have gotten more love had more people updated their polls.  But I only had what I had and Young did make a surge to the list.

Don't worry.   This arbitrary poll and results will only factor in a little bit to what we are doing with the tags.   If you didn't read this forum you wouldn't even know by looking at the tags who was what.   It is just something for me to go by.

Thanks again to everyone who voted.    I know if I gave this list to a group of people from out of town and said try one of these ten they would be happy with their choices.   Except maybe Swope.

Swope is a fine course, we are just all very F*(^@)^ spoiled here folks......
ask anyone not from around here what they think....PC would be a great course in many areas, as would Swope.  THough Swope does need some tweaking from time to time, its still a fun place to play disc golf, you who throw 400' shouldnt bad mouth a fun and challenging layout that is the best place to play with many people to enjoy the day and have good times.  Swope pretty much wins hands down with the ability to watch several groups play simultaneously, very few courses offer this any more, and it hurts in some respects the fun of the game.  That is why I really liked the ace race there, at Youngs you leave the scene and hide the woods a little too much for my liking.....

But I will prolly attend it for sure

Dave, i'll be very honest. The old setup was very clustered. The new design has this course in my top 3 in KS. I was very impressed!

Thanks Leo,  I too think Ed did an outstanding job laying out the courses.  Congrats on the win!
