Legacy League, Friday 9/3 (Clear 73-65, wind Northwest 8 - 17 gusting to 23 settling down to 5 - 8 )

Eleven players out for Friday Night Doubles League at Legacy on a taste of fall evening.  Fairways were still in good shape...rough needs mowed ASAP.  Bob/Slim thumbed their way to a 46 to take the win...Brian/Dan were a distant second at 49...we're losing daylight fast, so next week we will start at 5:45...

Legacy League, Friday 9/10 ( Cloudy 84, wind East 6 - 8 mph)

Eight players out for Friday Night Doubles League at Legacy on a steamy, moist evening.  Threatened to storm all round, but we managed to finish without getting wet.  Fairways were freshly mowed...rough needs mowed ASAP.  Bob/Jay jumped out to a 2 stroke lead after 12 holes, but Dan/Paul heated up and forced a tie with their third straight bird on #15...both teams birdied #16, and with pars on #17, it came down to #18...Dan/Paul had a chance to win,  but couldn't convert a 28 footer for bird...had time to play #1 as a playoff but after both teams birdied it to start the round, all we could muster were pars...we'll start at 5:45 again this week, if the rough is mowed we should be able to finish a little quicker...

Legacy League, Friday 9/10 ( Cloudy 84, wind East 6 - 8 mph)

 it came down to #18...Dan/Paul had a chance to win,  but couldn't convert a 28 footer for bird...

Legacy League, Friday 9/17 ( Cloudy 80 - 74, wind South - Southeast 3 - 5 mph)

Seven players out for Friday Night Doubles League at Legacy on a nice late summer evening.  Fairways were still in good shape...rough needs mowed ASAP.  Bob showed up as we were driving #4, so we agreed to allow him to play Cali by taking the worst score +1 which wound up being +2.  Bob shot even for holes 5 thru 18.  Teams were real even...after 15 holes we had a 3-way tie for first...Dan/Tim broke the tie with the only bird among the leaders on #16...Paul/Tony (almost had 2 lost discs off of the tee) boogied #17 to drop out of contention...BJ/Jay couldn't convert their birdie putt on #18, sealing the win for Dan/Tim...we'll start at 5:30 this week, hopefully the rough is mowed...

Legacy League, Friday 9/24 (Clear 75 -70, wind North - Northwest 3 - 5 mph)

Fourteen players out for Friday Night Doubles League at Legacy on a crisp late summer evening.  Entire course was freshly mowed...it looked great and played fast.  Slim showed up as we were preparing to drive on #1, I was already Cali but consensus was that it wouldn't be fair for Slim to be my partner...so both Slim and I played Cali.  Not like it was really fair for Slim to be Cali as he lit it up with a 45...Matt/Ray grabbed 2nd with a 48 (Ray was a putting machine, while Matt was throwing some bombs)...we'll start at 5:15 this week, and this will be the last official league of the season...

Legacy League, Friday 10/1(Clear 75 -72, wind calm)

Ten players out for the last "official" Friday Night Doubles League at Legacy for the 2010 season in ideal golfing conditions.  Course is still in great shape.  Paul/Roland had the hot round with a 49 (could've been even better without the 2 boogies )...Dan/Kent came from behind to edge Brian/Jay for second with a 50 (Brian/Jay held the box through the first 14 holes, but faded down the stretch )...
