Wes and I checked out the course at Pleasent Ridge Middle School last night. Fun pitch and putt stuff. It's in the Blue Valley area of Joco at 165th and Antioch. It would make a great ACE race course. Maybe there should be a "Blue Valley" tourney using this sweet little gem and the GIANT Blue Valley. What a difference in every aspect.... one course real short, in a very affluent suburb, one course loooong, in the hood.  8)

Tom, I live 2 minutes away and have played it wuite often. I agree its a great little pitch and putt with a few longer (300ish) as well. It woudl make a semi long safari setup as well.

Here's a course map I created a while back.

Distances are aproximate but pretty close.

I am currently in talks with Andrew and the BV P&R.   Something will be happening out there but it will be geared towards getting new people involved within the community and school district.  Family Friendly if you will.  I don't want you to think that means you can not play because I hope some experienced players come as well.  I just wanted to pre-warn you that it would not be as much of a party atmosphere as the Ace Race.  So please keep that in mind :).

Probably a one-disc-wango style event.  or Roc-V-Buzzz.  There are still some ideas we are working out but again I will announce something here when we work out all the details.

Dick, if I didn't mention it, as you get more details, let me know how I can help.

I'll be going to play the new Branson MO course next weekend at the Branson Cedars resort. I hear its an incredible course. Has any one played there yet? Apparently the Journey Post Disc golf store has gone out of business, but the course is still there. I think its actually pay-to-play so that should be interesting. I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts who have played this one.

It's always nice revisiting a thread like this. Let's renew it by going through which courses you have yet to play in order of the desire to play them. How lucky are we to have so many choices.
This thread is four years old so you newbies start from the biginning to catch a small glimpse of disc golf history.
Courses I want to play but have yet to do so:
Liberty
Yates Elementary
Perry Lake
Smithville all 3 courses
Pleasant Ridge Middle School
Baldwin City Lake
Clinton Lake
Melvern Lake
English Landing
Parkville church camp
Jesse James Park, Atchison and MWSU tie
Clover Dell
Last ones because of distance
I hope everyone enjoys me bringing this back up.

Liberty and Kearney are both fun courses, and you definitely need to get up to Smithville.
Yates isn't what it used to be, IMO, as not only did they wreck #1 by fencing it off from where the tee used to be on the sidewalk, but the school has done a piss-poor job of maintaining the course.
English Landing is great for practice because it's open and flat. But it's hella boring. Only thing remotely entertaining is the fact that it's on the river, and you might see some Parkville MILFs or college skanks in yoga pants walking the track when the weather's nice. ;D
Don't think I've been to any of the other courses you listed. Also haven't been to Lakewood or whatever it's called, the one that used to be a ball golf course in Johnson County.

I knew this would be fun talking about again. I live pretty close to the Perry Lake course but only viewed it when they were staking out hole and tee placements. Yet never played it. I need to get out more.
Keizer, we love you man.

I forgot to mention the course in McLouth. It's currently a 9 hole set up but will soon be a full 18. I've played the current set up but thought I'd give that course a shout out. It's challenging enough to make it fun.
