KCFDC Forum and Course Info

Well I mean really, put up or shut up, Sir!

Its a simple matter of the courses that have contracts with the KCFDC will be listed in our forum.  Those that do not have contracts will be "other".  It makes absolute perfect sense.  You dont want the other title, then ensure that the city has a contract with the KCFDC in order to be considered a "club" course.

Glover, it will not be up to us to put in the course location and directions, that will be for the people that know the course to enter its information.  We are not a GPS company.

The idea is that we will provide a place for them to post this information though.

I split this into a new topic since we were getting off of the topic of league.  Regarding the use of the forum, Old Pike is still trying to get our course in the ground, with tee pads, signs, etc. and really appreciate the convenience of posting on the board! 

The back nine design, benches, bag holders, labor, etc.  are largely the result of KCFDC members and I want to continue the positive relationship we have built with OPCC.   The General Manager is very supportive and has told the OP board that KCFDC members are the people we want to use the course.  They know that typically, club members seek to improve the course and keep it clean vs. how the public treats many of the courses in city parks. 

The course is already a lot of fun to play; but, there is still much more work to be done.  Currently, all funds collected in the donation box and the $1 per player for league goes 100% to course improvements.  Once the course is in, we hope to establish some recurring tournaments, host a charity event, and could provide a venue for KCFDC tournaments, club championships, picnics, etc.  But, we hope we don't get lumped in the "other category" just because we are under development and not located in a city park.

I don't know if being in the "Other Category"  is a bad thing .  I think that splitting up the courses into 2 groups (ie Contracts with KCFDC /  Non contract with KCFDC) is fine.  Though why not have some sort of  contract with OPCC.   That KCFDC can use the course for said tournaments or whatnot.  Once the course is in fully maybe it CAN host a kcfdc league.   No reason why it couldn't.   anyway.  My opinion.

If its me, you may want to look through the records a little closer.
I had 2 saying they expired in 2009??? I think I had paid twice that year to beat out the price raise of the following year.
Then my next one said it expired in 2010?
I should be paid until 2011!!!!!!

Jack you were the one taking the money and who talked me into paying even though I didn't have to.
I think it was at the club picnic or a club championship? Not sure when I paid but remember the coversation.
It must show in the records cause I have 2 expiring the same year but several months apart.
My next one says expiration 2010 though. That's why I'm wondering whats up.
Hopefully Rick can verify and rectify.
