Afternoon D-Lite

Is the Afternoon D-Lite still on for the 28? I was looking forward to this one its a lot of fun. Let me now I'll probably be camping that weekend regardless.

I plan on playing glow sat nite even if d-lite is a no go.
If it harm none,
do what you will.

AFTERNOON "D" LITE Singles Tournament with AFTERGLOW

Saturday, August 28, at 1 PM • Lake Shore Disc Golf Course at Pleasant Hill City Lake (not a PDGA Event)
Afternoon "D" Lite Singles Tournament - 2 Rounds of 18 Holes
• Followed by AFTERGLOW - 1 Round of 18 Holes (Random draw Doubles)
These are 2 seperate events, you can play in either one or both!

Afternoon "D" Lite DIVISIONS AND ENTRY FEES
PRO 1 (suggested for ratings 955+): $22(cash payback)
PRO 2 (suggested for ratings 955 or less): $12 (cash payback)
Advanced (male/female/masters divisions): $12 (prizes)
Intermediate (male/female divisions): $12 (prizes)
Novice/Recreational(male/female divisions): $12 (prizes)

Minimum of three players required to open a division.

Ace Fund (optional): $3. If no ace, CTP or Ring of Fire for 1/2 and 1/2 to the Lake Shore Disc Golf Course.

* *Entry fee includes $2 donation for Lake Shore Disc Golf course improvements * *

Afternoon "D" Lite SCHEDULE
On Site Registration: Noon - 12:55
Players’ meeting: ~12:55. Tee off to follow.
Break: About a half hour.
2nd Round Tee: To Be Announced (probably 4ish)

AFTERGLOW ENTRY FEES
$5 if you play both events, $6 otherwise ($1 to KCFDC), cash payout

AFTERGLOW SCHEDULE
On Site Registration: 7:45 pm - 8:30 pm
Players’ meeting: ~8:35. Tee off to follow.

The whole park has a fresh mow courtesy of the PHill Parks & Rec...looking like a gorgeous day for Golf Saturday...come out and enjoy a slice of country life... ;D

Matt Fox picked up some lights today for anyone needing 'em for the Afterglow...

Afternoon "D" Lite, Saturday 8/28 (Clear 88 85, South - Southeast wind 5 - 10 mph)

28 players out on a beautiful late August afternoon at Lake Shore.  Course was in excellent condition thanks to fresh mow this week.  Several people camped Saturday night. Big thanks to Sean Chancellor for helping me to move baskets between rounds...SteelerDoug and Shane Diersen for making a lunch run for me...Caleb Coffman also for moving baskets between rounds...Matt Fox and SteelerDoug for picking tournament supplies up from DiscGolfWorld.

CD pulled out a 2 stroke win in PRO 1 with the hot round of the day (47) during the second round...Dan Coffman cruised to a 6 stroke win in Pro 2...Brian Palmer shot a 48 during the second round to win Advanced...Mark Dunphy shot a pair of 50s to take Advanced Masters...Rhonda C cruised to the win in Women's...Jay Cram pulled out a 2 stroke win in Intermediate...Bob Walker ekked out a 1 stroke win in Rec...James ? took the win in Juniors (both boys improved by 15 strokes in the second round!)...Sean Chancellor won the CTP for half of the Ace Pool ($33) and donated $3 of his winnings to the course improvement fund.

Forget to mention it earlier...I have a item that was left at the picnic tables after the event...describe it and we will make arrangements to get it back to you...

I had a typo on Brian's score...he shot a 48 (not a 58) during the second round to finish at 100 for the day.

Also, forgot to mention that Matt Fox recruited the Harley women's Corporate challenge team to come out and play (who brought several other players)...I think they had a good time...heard there was some trick shots going on during the second round  8)...maybe we could get Harley to be a sponsor for the next "D" Lite  :P (maybe a Road King to the overall winner  ::))...speaking of which I mentioned maybe doing another "D" Lite on 9/11, but the shelters are already reserved...maybe in October..

it's funny what a big warm mouthful of whiskey can do to a sun worn, beer filled, food deprived stomach.  always seems like a good idea at first

Well it took me two days to recover, but I made it.  Maybe next time I should inflate my air mattress prior to drinking a bottle of Jack  ;D.  Had a great time despite the wicked hangover.
