KCFDC is  going to be putting in some work days this spring in order to prepare several of the fairways.

We are scheduled to recieve funding from the SM P&R 20-20 plan in 2006. I know our event last summer went a long way in getting our cause to the top of the agenda. We have not heard anything definite yet but are awaiting response and discussing our available options.

I look forward to working with volunteers to develop the course. I will be asking for more formal commitments in the near future so stay tuned.

thanks,

Dirk

Go to the link below. Zoom on the map to the right. The course looks like it will be located on the east side of the park. If you zoom close enough you can see the layout.

While you are there take the Heritage Park link and look at #15. Has anyone taken a look at that land yet? It appears they plan to put in a course there too.

#15 at Heritage Park?? I don't see any number above 10, except shelter numbers.  Am I looking at a different map?  The one I have is dated 7/14/05
and is just a static map, no zooming or anything...
I'd love to be involved in planning that one...

Scroll down until you see the number 15 on the left then hover your cursor over it. You will see Disc golf course on the list. This is apparently in the "master plan" for Heritage Park.

Lenexa is also looking to put in a course at  Lake Lenexa. Click on link below and then choose "Lake Lenexa Park Plan" at the bottom. I had origionally heard that they were considering putting in 36 holes.

A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
