I asked a couple of questions in the above thread with work day schedule.  As I am confident that I am not the only person that would like an answer, I felt it was better served to post in the forum, and request a response as best you can put one.  I understand that you are a one man machine getting this done, and I appreciate that in its entirety, but I have concerns over volunteerism for something that will be a revenue generator for years to come for the park.

Posted my reply here too...

Good questions Jack! The duties have not been divvied up yet...that list is coming soon. As far as Park entry, all volunteers on the list will not have to pay to park...as long as their name is on "The List" The list will be kept at the ticket taker shack and will be checked off when that person enters. I need to turn in a scope of work and list to the best of my ability, those who will be attending for that portion of the project. In other words, I need to know in advance, who will be showing up on what days to help! I am sure we will have some issues but we are just going to have to work thru them.

The CC Parks Dept will be doing a lot of the labor...with the big boy toys (tools) they have. They have, at my request, offered to train us on some of the items so we can help ourselves as/where needed.

Our first real volunteer opportunities come in clearing of the woodier holes. Pull stuff that’s already down out, take some predetermined stuff down, make appropriate sized fairways as designed by Mr. Parker, chip everything…general rough/semi final clearing on all holes.

The would help us clear off t-pad locations and form it for us but I said we wanted to do that….making the forms that is…not the digging part! (that, in my opinion, forming is the funnest part) Call me crazy…but I really enjoyed that function I helped fill at Cliff…so much I want to do it again. (Over 60 times if you count the dual t-pads on some of the Woodhenge course)

As far as the funds, and who profits from them…WE DO! All monies collected at the booth will go right back into the Complex!  For as long as the complex is in business, those monies stay in the complex in the form of increased mowing needs, continual improvements to the complex, better signage, better benches, more grooming…all the things needed to keep this world class operation…WORLD CLASS!

so in the contract with Smithville, will be the wording that all monies collected from disc golf will be reinvested into the disc golf area?

If that is the case, then you can sign me up.

You know Jack is right about one thing...the Park has offered to do ALL the work.

I said NO WAY because I wanted me/us/you/whoever a chance to do all the really fun (and uber important) stuff...that's all!!!

You know...the first cutting, box planning, box making, box pointing and directioning, box leveling, power dirt tamping...stuff like that.

We got probably one of the most talenented bunch of volunteers ever assembled!!!

For those of you that did...THANK YOU!!

For those that did not...what are ya waiting for???
