2010 YOUNG PARK ACE RACE - Discussion

Ace Race is just around the corner. John Theiss will be running the grill and rumor has it there will be some adult beverages around. We have some crazy holes in store for this event. So for those of you who want some revenge on one of the tougher courses in KC sign up and bang some chains!!!! Come out and have fun with the rest of us. The players pack is unbeatable!

Eric and myself are experimenting with some additional holes ideas.  We will more than likely add  additional holes to the course.  This way you get more bang for your buck, shorter holes will transition better from one to the next, and this will enable you to see more groups of players, more baskets, and more ACES.  We have soom really cools ideas and a sweet course set up.

It will be a great time and we wil have an abundance of short shots so all skills levels will be able to compete.

You should.  Eric and myself are designing a course that will offer high probability for ACES.  After all, it is called the ACE RACE and that is our goal.  This event should be fair to all skills and level the playing field.

I wanted to ask about the mulligans mentioned on the flyer.
Are you still going through with that?

Not sure about the discs.  I believe Eric mentioned $2 for 1 mully or $10 for 6 mullys.   I will also be grilling up some food for lunch so do not worry about traveling between rounds.

This year's disc is a stable/overstable midrange.  Here's a quick review from one of DGR's senior reviewers.

It is shaped a whole lot like a San Marino Sentinel, and flies very similarly. It is not a meathook...If powered flat it has a Buzzzish flight with a stronger fade. It holds it's altitude at speed like a Buzzz, but drops quicker as it slows down.  Rangewise I was dead on with it, so it is similar in range to the Buzzz/Fuse. I threw it into some headwind and it held up really nicely.

I'll pass on the ACE Race this year.  It doesn't seem to be a very useful disk for me, imho.  I don't need a overstable mid-range...

Doug, I may be wrong here but I thinks it's more about the day with your disc golf peeps then it is the disc offered.

True Dan but since this event is the weekend before the OK Open, need to practice instead.

We need to get the players packs ordered by this friday. So if you have not signed up, or know someone who is going to play and hasn't signed up. Please let them know to do so. That way everyone who wants to play gets in and also so that we do not order to many extra players packs.. Thank you..
