No dummy, I only look at the computer for fantasy stuff, I do not check e-mails on the weekend. THat is what a phone is for.
I am all for having a great complex out there. In fact I just got off the phone with one of the commissioners after a 35 minute conversation. I was asked to reach to him by our KCMO P&R, but no one on our P&R notified me that it was Clay county. They indicated that it was with the county P&R, so I thought that I was having a conversation with the Jackson County P&R. Much to my surprise it was with Clay County.
I want to see all disc golf success come to our area, let me state that first and foremost. As such I was turly nothing but a gentleman and scholar with regards to disc golf to answer the questions needed.
Hopefully this information as well as the numbers that I gave him (albeit 2 yrs old now from 2008), will be enough to assure them that this is a good value added benefit for the park and allow them to feel competely comfortable knowing that they are building an additional amenitie for thier park that will enable a more diverse patron for the park on certain days, and in turn drive additional patronage in the park for years to come.
THe fact that Dan has to send out a note on a Friday after 5, for a meeting on Monday to me is unfair to the process. I understand adapting to all angles of the issue at hand, but this information should have been sent sooner is all that I am saying. Had it been, I wuold have probably changed my schedule to accomodate it and as the VP of Missouri, done everything in my power to show support, and help secure the additional disc golf mecca that is being touted.
I am a great answer man, and I understand the diplomacy needed in most civic organizations. I know you may find that hard to believe in the chat rooms here, but trust me this is a chat room, and not my stance on many issues will be truly validated here with what I will do in person.
There is a reason I have helped to raise over $500,000 for disc golf in our community. I love the sport, I love the people, and I am very passionate about ensuring things are done to help our sport grow locally.
That will never change, even if I do not always agree with the principal at hand, know always that I agree with the idea that we need to continue to move the sport to more people. This sometimes contradicts what I like to believe in ideally, but utlimately it opens a door, and in turn that door could open to what we all want in the future.....
NO worries though Kevin, your posts from time to time I find silly and wonder where you come from....but again I know its just our brains spewing what we are thinking right now, and typically not the exact person that we truly are, but rather a snapshot of the moment that we post.
Lord knows I make posts I regret, so should I quit typing?
I prefer to use it as a way to learn from my own mistakes.....or relive those mistakes!
