Have you posted anything on the KDGA board yet?

Maybe you could have an event later in the season to introduce the course.

I'll plan to make a day of it this spring to play Pomona and then Ottawa. That should make for a nice day trip.

Make sure you post directions to the course.

It is in Kanza Park which is on the South end of town. The park is bordered on the south by 15th Street. The park is 1 block west of Main Street (highway 59 through town) Turn west on W.13th Str. it will dead end in the parking lot for the park.
They are having a big feastival during early March for spring break and plan to have the course featured for this event. We submitted plans 3 years ago, and have just now gotten it though council (lost 2-3 then this year passed 4-1). A pro came through and also submitted a course plan, we took ideas from both and it is ready to go. Not sure what portion of the 18 planned will be put in first. I should be getting a jpeg of the plans from my brother Dr. John Brockway there in Ottawa.
I'm not posting to any directories untill the course is in and I know the layout.
The major opposition has been from a neighbor of the park, so as always we want to keep it clean, and well used. Lots of walkers and joggers, but the plan submitted stays clear of walkways. We don't want to lose it like we lost Wildflower in Albq. NM.
It's a long commute to play from Iowa, but I'll make it a few times a year. Thanks for all your intrest, bring friends!
Thanks
James

"People will come. They'll come from Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway, not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door, innocent as children, longing for the past. "
