Saturday "Casual" Doubles at 12:30

Casual Saturday Doubles, 1/1(Clear 24 - 27, wind West 13 - 15 gusting to 22)

Nine players out for Casual Doubles at Legacy on a seasonal winter afternoon. Weather was just a bit brisk.   If you were in Lee's Summit Saturday and heard some booms...it wasn't jets!  Jordan and Lee threw some bombs...both were over the tree line on #3 Long, Jordan on the fringe of the green on #6 Long, Lee pin high on #7 Long (with the birdie) while Jordan was 40' to 50' Long (but couldn't convert), Jordan with the bird on #11 Long...and so on.  Lee/Cali Lee and Jerod/Jordan were neck and neck the entire round...Lee had a 1 stroke advantage after 9...then Jerod/Jordan tied him with the bird on #11...Lee came right back with a bird on #12 and they matched scores until #18...both teams were solidly on the green but Lee missed his birdie putt, while Jerod/Jordan hit theirs to force a playoff.  Both teams agreed to play #18 to the practice basket as the first playoff hole...Lee was out after the drive, and put his second shot within 25'...hole looked like it was going to be a push when Jordan hit the base of the pole with his second shot, but it stood up and rolled about 30' out...Jerod/Jordan couldn't convert and Lee sank his putt for a 3 to win the playoff.

I may have had some bang but jordan was definetely some boom, was thirty or forty past me everytime. I was making the putts though  . Cali payday was sure nice though.

Casual Saturday Doubles, 1/8(Mostly Cloudy 20 - 22, wind NorthEast 5 - 8 mph)

Nineteen players out for Casual Doubles at Legacy on a seasonal winter afternoon...hell of a turnout for the conditions!  Seemed a bit warmer for the first 3 or 4 holes while the sun was out...then the clouds moved in, and it was pretty chilly.  Had three teams tied at 50 for first...Matt H/Tiffany, Boyd/Jay, and Brandon/Lee (all on separate cards).  Started the playoff on hole #1...with the only par Matt H/Tiffany took 3rd place cash...Boyd/Jay and Brandon/Lee then locked into a marathon playoff...they matched scores on #1 thru #5...then skipped to #9 and matched scores until #11.  Boyd/Jay were up first on #11...when Jay's drive stood up and rolled over the walkpath dam and down the backside, they decided to play from Boyd's drive which was to the right of the short pin.  Then Lee drove and was just in bounds next to the Pavilion...Brandon then put his drive within 80 - 100' straight at the pin to set them up for the easy par.  Boyd/Jay closest approach was 30 - 35' and they couldn't convert for the par...giving the win to Brandon/Lee.

you guys are a bunch of girls. this is the only "league" that cancels cause of snow. I will also add that its the only one, next to PC, that needs the pads clear to play. but thats ok. i guess i can still be friends with you. lol

Casual Saturday Doubles, 2/5 (Partly Cloudy 29 -32, wind South 8 - 10 mph)

Five players out for Casual Doubles at Legacy in the deep snow.  Pads, benches, and staging area were immaculate courtesy of Jay, Vince, Brandon, and Dan.  This one was closely contested until the next to last hole...Cali Dan took a boogey on #8, giving Ash/Brandon a 2 stroke lead...Jay/Lee had the only bird on #9 to finish second.

Casual Saturday Doubles, 2/5 (Sunny 45 - 48, wind South - Southwest 14 - 19 gusting to 29 mph)

Nine players out for Casual Doubles at Legacy as we started to thaw.  Pads, benches, and staging area were immaculate courtesy of Jay, Jose, Brandon, and Dan.  Conditions were a little sloppy with the snow melt.  Jose/Will took the win with a 51...Caleb/Jay were second with a 52...I wound up Cali for the third League in a row...kinda bit me ...

It was a nice but windy day at legacy. We had 13 out and this is where dan normally puts a story about something that happend but i just dont have that type of memory. We did have 3 new holes to try. 13 long 15 long and 16 long, which make it feel like a big full course after haveing everything long but 7.
