     Where does everything stand? I am wanting to get in on this tourney if there was a way to sign up for it. I live in Lee's Summit, but I don't want to waste a trip all the way up to Smithville if it's not materializing. If you could please repost and keep us updated, I would greatly appreciate it. So do you have to preregister for this event? I would like to but I will be over an hour away and the night before is new years and who really knows how that night will turn out.! If I can register the day of I will try my best to be there.

******* BAD NEWS / GOOD NEWS! *******

The bad news- I have jumped over a couple hurdles to make this happen but it seems there is one hurdle I cannot make over in time to host this tourney. I am sorry...100% of the blame falls on me.
 
Let me repeat that- We will not be having an organized tourney on 1/1/2011 @ 1!!

Now for the good news, we can all still showup and play on Saturday, same time & place...it just cannot be an "organized" event with an entry fee and prizes!!

Maybe a killer doubles round...whatever you guys want to do.

If you have paid already, we will get refunds back to you just as soon as possible.

No secret gents...I did not get all my "I"s dotted and "T"s crossed in time. Both sides wanted it to work...and it will work, just needed more time to make it all happen, all while helping them write the needed procedures that both sides need to follow.

All the things that we all take for granted...someone had to work out those details in advance.

And yes...government works real slow!

Were you supposed to have secured some sort of permit, Dan? I'm just curious as to what Smithville or Clay County or whoever the MFICs are out there are wanting in order to have organized events out there. This kind of information might be a factor in deciding whether or not I want to "pay to park" at the Smithville Disc Golf Complex in the future.
