Legacy Doubles this Sunday
« on: February 05, 2011, 05:18:52 PM »
Pads are in great shape...with PHill unplayable thought I would see if anyone was up for $5 Doubles at 12:30...should be done in plenty of time for the Super Bowl (5 of us played today in less than 3hrs)...

Let me know if you're interested either by replying to this thread or 816-210-1063...its a 15-20 minute drive so I'd like to know if people were coming before I drive in.

Or come over to PC at 12:30-1:00. The pads aren't only clear and dry, but areas around the pads, as well as multiple walk ways and some of the paved walking trail are also clear.  8)

Thought about doing PC, but it would be pushing it to get back in time for the Super Bowl...just wanted to give the Eastside an option since PHill isn't playable...

So far I've gotten 5 or 6 confirmations...Vince, Eric E, Brandon, Fox, Jay C, and myself...

Come on out and have some fun...

Replacement Doubles, 2/6 (Mostly Cloudy 36 -35, wind North - Northwest 9 - 14 mph)

Nine  players out for Replacement Doubles at Legacy in thawing conditions.  With Lake Shore at PHill under a deep blanket of snow, we had replacement League at Legacy.  With the lower 2 -3 inches of snow melting, footing was a mite slippery ;).  Scores were tightly grouped, my card finished with a star bird on #18 thinking we were in a 3-way tie at even...after finding out that this was the hot score we opted to split the cash...on the way home as Brandon and I discussed the round, I realized that I'd finished at -1  ::) (had a ugly round with 5 boogey strokes (including a double boogey) and 6 birds)...to be honest I don't think anyone had a pretty round...oh well, I guess we should of used scorecards... payout stands...

Dan, did you bogey 12 too?  I know you were +3 on the front on the front.  And I remember 4 birds on the back (13, 14, 16, 18), which would be even.  Right?

I was +2 on the front...+2 on 3, +1 on 4, -1 on 5, +1 on 6, -1 on 9...your count is correct for the back 9...after 12 I was +3, but finished with 4 birds.

Where I screwed up was at 16 when I thought the scores were BJ/Eric +1, Brandon/Vince +2, Cali Dan +2...Vince corrected their score to +1, and I left mine at +2 (didn't feel like a very good round...), when in reality we were all tied at +1...

Obviously, I need to write scores down... ::)

It really felt like a struggle Sunday...that was ugly...

Hopefully, the warming trend will come in as forecast...I'm ready to play without snow...
