So it's looking like the ams are all gonna be in the same pool.

So is the schedule of Rosedale - sat am, Cliff - sat pm, WW - sun morning, going to be the official schedule for the am group.

I am also calling my shot, to my complete dismay i will not be the biggest bagger in advanced. There is always next year.

Then who is? Seems to me you have the highest player rating in Advanced.

And I should clarify... I don't think anyone rated in the 950s or even 960s could be defined as a bagger. The PDGA defines lowly rated pros as those players 970+. I think that should be a good enough definition.

Guess i need to double check my research, before i go prognosticating.

PDGA ratings aren't all they are cracked up to be anyway.

It's not like i won this thing last year or anything, or threw a 1014 rated round.

I wouldn't vote for you anyway, you definetly should be playing in advanced.

Is there any operating theory why this tournament hasn't and most likely won't fill?

I know Am Nats is this weekend too but it doesn't seem like there are a lot of local or semi-local guys who are playing that.

i have gotten about 3 calls from people that can't believe this is a trophy only event, they seemes to be upset by this notion......Sorry I said......plus this week I am sure that we will see more entries.  I know about 20-30 people that have told me that they signed up, but I haven't gotten an update since Saturday, so I imagine that I will be busy entering names soon enough.

I'd have to say, with Cooper and Hesting playing Advanced, the sandbagger crown has officially been passed on.

If you can change human nature to get people to sign up in advanced, then this wouldn't happen.  If the shoe were reversed though and you needed to get in on Friday after driving here 4-8 hours with friends hoping to play, how disappointed would you be if you couldn't get in, only too see that the field is ~120, and that means that there was about 70 open spots?

My plan is along these lines.  We will let everyone know in the Am pool to show up at Rosedale on Saturday morning.  If there is more than one pool, then we will instruct those players to go to WW, and extend the start time accordingly.  If we have the entire field at Rosedale, its a no-brainers.  In that case Ams will play Rosedale and Cliff on Saturday, WW Sunday morning.

I as well think it is unfair, but thats the game of the PDGA event in the modern world.......SIGN UP EARLY and make it easy on the staff and players is the only items of wisdom I can bestow.

I wish it was a different story as well......
