Story of the night was shannon's ace on hole 3 (his 3rd hole of the night). To prove it was no fluke he put a drive on the first hole of the playoff (on hole 3 of course) just short of the pin for a 5 footer to win the playoff over jose and mike. Both were probably dissappointed with their drives since they were both easily outside the circle.
Baskets have been set pretty short for a while, i have been trying to keep things in middle to short settings for a while and i get a lot of help moving baskets shorter anytime i need it.

So I moved most of the baskets on the back nine that weren't already maxed out. I wanted a front back contrast of long and short. 10 stayed long, 11 moved long, but not over hill, 12 to the left corner, 13 stayed by the street, 14 long, 15 long across the street, 16 long left by gregory, 17 in 1 long, 18 middle. So i wanted to try a few different things on the back nine so i had us play from an alternate tee on 16 (the kcwide open tee) and moved hole 17 to hole 1 long position. Hole 16 from that teepad is a cool hole. Not a really difficult drive but you need to get it 350 so the next shot isn't too hard. The second shot plays up hill to that big ass tree, but its not an easy shot (just ask avery). The basket is a good 50 feet from that tree so if you hit it you've got a long putt. Wish that could be a permenant tee but there WOULD be a conflict over there at some point, swope has enough drama. Hole 17 was ok, not many cars in the lot so a skip off the lot was in play. Back nine played pretty tough, only one person shot even(mike) on the back. 11 players totaled 6 birdies on the back nine, 3 on hole 17, and 3 on hole 10 long which is pretty impressive. In comparison, the front nine had 23 birdies, which is deceiving since i refused to get a birdie all night.
Shannon won in a playoff, but the cards say he could have locked it up much earlier. He was 4 under after 4 holes with an ace and 2 birdies, but struggled on the back and when he took a bogey on hole 17 that let mike gain 2 shots and tie him with a birdie. Hole 18 on the long is like 460 and you need a little more of a tail wind than we had last night to get there, so they both finished with a 3 to tie. On the other card Jose over came his one bad shot on the night that led to a 5 on hole 15 to tie for the win. He could have had it though, he birdied 2 and 3 to tie then the whole card couldn't birdie hole 4 to finish so he had to settle for the tie.
Most importantly, cooter did make it on the departing trip from the golf course. Although he was probably dissappointed this week, he got no catfish.
