Blue Valley Round Saturday?
« on: April 05, 2011, 04:22:30 PM »
Going to be  a nice weekend to get out and play BV.

Will not be too hot like the last time Jay Cram and myself tried to play in upper 90's  with high humidity.  Jay thought he was going to tough it out and walk around without a shirt and no hat.  Pretty soon he was all delusional suffering probably from heat exhausting.   he started babbling and  i knew we needed to get to some shade.

Danger, you in?  Who is in?

I was thinking about that, having a "league round" starting ~10 if people wanted to, that way you would be finishing up about the time that the "disc golf clinic is going on....

I Don't know what it will take to get people out there, but we have 2 PDGA events on Saturday as well close by....I would like to see the KCFDC represented well out there on the course this saturday though that is for sure.....

sounds intriguing... how much will this 'league' round cost and what will be its format?

I'm going hiking in Weston that day, but free would get more people out.  If you charge then you'll only see the big arm folks play.

90% chance i'm in, gotta work sat nite, but really, who says no to blue valley? just hope that ace fund is in play, what's it up now after 5 years, eleven dollars? fyi, if you have not played this course, you're missing out on kc's best pads and most challenging holes, just don't carry a cooler and dilly-dally, it's long and will get you in shape. i'm looking forward to getting my first bv turkey of the year which is 3 threes in a row.  eat your wheaties, 10:00 am tee.

I'd pay if it was pro-am doubles but a free singles format sounds good.

We will plan on a singles freebie with checking in ~10, and probably starting ~10:30.  I will be up by the practice basket in front of the Big Shelter to go over a few items that need to be known with the traffic in there that day.

I am uncertain about an Ace fund, and we will play california style, if someone gets an ace, everyone needs to pay that person a $1, $5-$1 club should be in effect, but then if you are not, you are of course probably not going to be playing out here to begin with! :-*

Sweet! It'll be nice to play a real round out at the Big Course again. Is there going to be any official side-bet set up?
