USM Tuesday - 5/17 - End of School Year Disc Golf Celebration

We just had our graduation ceremony on campus over the weekend so the campus is looking great and now the students are all gone. To celebrate we will be hosting a round of disc golf followed by BBQ and beverages at the picnic area by #1. If you are interested in attending please let me know.

Bag tags will be in play and there is a nice prize as a bounty on setting a new course record. Doc has the course record at -4 and will be here to defend it. We will be teeing off no later than 6pm to give us daylight for getting our grub on afterward.

I have a sweet unthrown ESP Torque as bounty for a -5 or better at USM this evening.

So far we have six confirmed and pork tenderloin for the grill and at least one steak requested. Either BYOM or just let me know if you plan to be here so we can have enough.

It's going to be a beautiful day for disc golf. If you aren't going to be up here in Leavenworth then please, please get out and throw somewhere!

We'll be doing this at least once a month all season on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. It ended up a bit chilly as we entered the cookout phase of the evening and the tenderloin took longer to prepare than anticipated. So a couple of folks had to make do with a brat and hit the road. It will get warmer and the sun will set later. (Observant ain't I...)

The latest USM assault on the course record:

Andy Jewett - 54 (Slammed the basket on the last hole of the evening and put some $ in his pocket - also won a nice t-shirt for a CTP prize)
Tom Butler - 54 (won the other t-shirt in the CTP)
Mark Hogins - 57
Tony Todd - 57 (Master BBQ chef - The tenderloin was well worth the wait!)
Doc Norby - 60
Kevin Montgomery - 61 (Hey, I can't be expected to plan and execute such a huge event and throw well at the same time can I?    )

With a current course record of 50 the ESP Torque is still in my possession awaiting the next attempt. Doc had a nice Crush for a bogey free round but no one was able to collect on that either. It seems the course at USM isn't as easy as it used to be....   

And we all kept our respective bag tags.....
