Swope League 6/13/2011 - Revenge of Swope Gold

Looking to get some revenge on Swope Gold from a Sunday round?  Perhaps you played Am at the Wide Open and would like to see how you measure up against the big boys?  Or maybe you're just a glutton for punishment.   Van told me we'll be playing the exact same layout we did for the Pros yesterday, so come out early, and bring some mental fortitude .

After shooting a 56 I think on Sunday with his full bag, Barsby shot a 50 playing with a handfull of discs......Unfortunately I wanted to clean up the park, so we pulled all the flags and string last night after league.

Big Kudo's to my card of Nicody, Jason Lyon, and Jake Bowen for helping do that during the round, and then Timko, Mike Penney after the round.  The course will have long baskets in gold setting until tomorrow, then we will be pulling back the 3 extended holes.  Not sure what we will do about the fly pad on the #16 placement.....I really want to explore that option as a perm/alternate location......

I remember looking at that as an option for Swope Gold last year, and am happy we got to play it this year.  I think we should seriously consider it.

The only thing is that the tables that are there would be in the way for disasterous issues with people that tried to play through there with other patrons in the park.......I am not sure how to alleviate that problem, but will look at it.  It really expands the course nicely and can create some other options there as well......

exactly what i was thinking.  i see way too many disc golfers who are inconsiderate of other patrons in the park.  add that to faster and faster discs that newer players have no business throwing near anybody and it sounds like we'd be asking for trouble.

btw, the flypads have been removed but people can still tee from the paint stripes.
