Lions Den-Cliff Drive 8-20 Saturday Air Show day! (It's an EVENT!!)

Thats right the Lions Den will once again shine on Cliff Drive on Saturday August 20th.  More information to follow, but it will be another great event to enjoy the birthdays of all leo's, including Cliff Drive.

We look to have another great outing of disc golf and good times in this annual event showcasing the work of the volunteers that have devoted time to make this course one of the best in the city, which in turn makes it one of the best in the world.

We shall have food, music, disc golf, and more entertainment.....I am leaning towards a disc and a shirt, with an entry of $25 at the moment, but that of course could change as we move forward and get closer to the date.

Please mark the calendars appropriately!

Here's an idea I had the other day.  What if you had a C tier the next day?  It could be called the Lions den open do over, or L-DODO for short

well.......if we run anything we should run the disc golf around the world event that next day......I was thinking about that, but I don't wanna be the responsible person for it.

How did you like last years air show?

Its starting to come together:
Fisherman Bob and the Blue Fin Tuna band confirmed at Lunch today, with a new Sax/Keyboardist for the sound.  They will be playing from ~2-4

Got a call from Fred N about cooking, and Fred will be cooking it up from 11-2.  I am also working on another Chef from 4-7 as well.

I got confirmation that the Air-Show will not land on our area, but will fly above us, that means there will be an alternate course set up for the event as well this year again.  I will be working on that configuration over the next week.

DJ is confirmed in the morning show....

Just sent a note off to a Beer Rep to hopefully ensure that we have enough, one person has already committed to buying one Keg of beer for the event as a gift, what a sweetheart!

Its coming up close, hopefully have the flyers ready next week!

Coming together this is.

We have just lined up the third band for the day.

We will have the following playing at the Lion's Den this year for your listening Pleasure-

DJ Critter will be filling in the sound to start off the day and in between the sets.

3-Piece Band--Blindog-schedule 11:30-1:30

4-Piece Band--Fisherman Bob and the Blue Fin Tuna Band-2:30-4:30

5-Piece Band--Elisha Israel and AZ-ONE-6:00-?

Still working on getting a solid Beer sponsor, finding out about the food, got the chef's aligned, working on getting a better logo that is print ready for everyone.

As it stands now, leaning towards a disc shirt, and all of the above for $25.  The band, beer, food, discs and shirt's ain't cheap, but the day, it will be FABULOUS, and you know it.

We will of course haev mini disc golf going on, the course will be in a shortened configuratino similar to last year, with 9 holes before the "Band/Berr stop" and hole # 10 will be actual #9.

You have all joined forces to make this event great, please continue to do so.  Hopefully we will be done with teh heat spell, and back to 90 degree weather by then.

Oh yeah, Arnold Palmer Teas will be a sponsor as well for the event!
