Bluebird Tournament at Young's on Saturday July 16
« on: July 15, 2011, 09:08:48 AM »
I talked  Kyle Crews (LSPR) who is the Regional Coordinator for the Bluebird series. Here's more detail on the event...

Signups are 8 to 10 am.
Players meeting at 10 am with the first round to immediately follow.
First round will have a mix of long and short pads (Rec and Juniors play 1 round only from short pads).
Second round will start 1 hour after last card finishes first round (approximately 1pm).
Second round pros will play all longs, Ams will be different mix of long/short pads (marked on your cards).
Do not need to be a Missouri resident to play.
It is a requirement to participate in Bluebird series to play event.
Proshop will be setup by Kyle in conjunction with DGW for amateur payout and sales.
    Course OB and Drop Zones:
      - holes 2/3 fence on the left
      - 1,4,5,6,7,8,9,11 on or over the road
      - any disc in water off the pad, play you next shot (throwing three) from the short pad
      - any disc in the water NOT off the pad, play from the last point in bounds

Even a bad day on the disc-golf course beats ANY day at work! -

We had about 17 people out.  CD was the lone pro. There were seven masters, three women, three adv men, and three recs (I think).

The old guys were out in force even though we had a 110 heat index!!!

Nothing has been posted for Young's scores, but results from the others in the series this year are at the following link:
