03-20-06 GLOW League
« on: March 21, 2006, 07:19:21 AM »
NNE winds at around 22, temps around 35, and a steady drizzle, must have kept a lot of the regs away, but 4 showed up and played a quick round.

Tom Butler and Bryan Guthrie shooting 51 for $20
Dean Uhlman and Andy Lewis shooting 55

Next week is the final installment of our Monday night GLOW League until next fall. The ACE fund has grown to $180. We will be cooking some brauts and burgers next week before we start the round, so come out and join us for some chow, ale, and a round of GLOW.

You can normally buy LED lights for GLOW golf on Monday nights at the Olathe course between 5:30 and 6:00, but I have sold out and won't have any again until next fall when we start GLOW golf league up again. You can also buy them at Waterworks Park on Thursday evenings between 5:30 and 6:00, but Ted, who sells them might also be out currently. We both sold them for $2. You can go to Wal-Fart and get them though. They are in the fishing tackle area, and go for around $2.50. Hope that helps.

I have plenty of lights now. They will be available at Thursday Water Works Glow. $2 each.

Let me know if you would like more Tom.

Wal Mart has been out, some have discontinued carrying them altogether.  Cabela's seems to still have them, and in colors other than red. A lot more expensive than Ted's $2.  Some on-line dealers carry them as well--we're talking the LED battery things, not just a snap and glow stick.
