League 7/31
« on: July 31, 2011, 09:33:35 AM »
There will be league today.  Drew has left us for greenbay.....errr I mean greener pastures.  So for better or worse I will now be running league.  If attendance sucks after a few weeks I will pull the plug though.  I will typically be there around 4:30

Whew, it was one hot round for league, but 4 very brave souls where up for the challenge.  Only 3 finished, but all of Jacks tireless efforts and hard work he put in on CD before the round caught up to him and his back, so he had to regretfully bow out with an upper back injury.

Jose won with a solid 56

Chris took 2nd with a 61

Ryan third with a stellar 66

I was wiped out hard core, took a cold shower, shoulders still killing me, sorry I had to bow out.  I forgot to tell you to play from 17pad to 18's basket to make up for the extra hole.....

It was fun, Ryan.  Glad we had enough people to play.

Jack, we ended up skipping hole 12.  17 is too fun to pass up.

It will actually not be in play (#14) as it stands now, we will play (Lion's Den) fro m#13 pad to a temp basket behind the 2 trees near the road, then go and tee from the road to the short basket on #14, then go to the road and play to #15 short, then back to the road (I know, I know, its not that far of a walk though) and up to the corner to a temp placement for #16 (think last year if you must) then we will play from #17 pad back to #18 short.  This will allow us to play #1 to the practice basket, then from the road to #1 long for the second placement, adding this hole, eliminates about 1000' on the course and allows you to finish 9 holes on what will feel like #8 (short alternate pin short of the woods like last year)....The course should play a little under 4800' this way, thus allowing you more time to enjoy the party like atmosphere.....I understand that there will be some additional prizes as well coming in for the event......Not sure what yet, but we will find a createive way to make this happen for all to have a shot at it.
