Help needed for Lions' Den
« on: August 01, 2011, 10:57:21 AM »
I will need some help and it is really concentrated in a few areas:

Hole 1-weed whacking, and trash pick up along hillside in the gulley, and clean up around the short tee green.
Hole 2-Really feel ok with
Hole 3-Mowing around the tee area and cleaning up along green and bluffs.
Hole 7 from the edge of the long placement, clean up all along the greens back to the trees on #8 green.  In other words we are wanting to clear out all the greenery and expose the cliffs from the dual trees 8 (middle or short if not counting the hanging basket).  We will be using this for the mini golf primarily.
Hole 8-clean the front of the woods on the left, there will be the short placement there again this year.

I will be working on this as I can, but I am heading to California thursday, so anything that can be done in my absence, please go ahead and help out.  All the people will love you!

I will probably be out there tonight and tomorrow night after work to do some of this.  I am going to start on the North end (by 7 long) and work my way back towards the stage.  What I don't want to happen is an entire clear out of the long placement to give the "cheater shot" look.  The long placement is meant to be like a keyhole to it.  The reason that there was an initial are there was to get all the growth out, it just happened to be right before worlds.  This hole is meant to be played up the gut, not around the side and through an opening.....The shorter placement is also along these ways, where if you are on the side of the hill, you really shouldn't have a clean shot, though from an appearance sake I tend to clean it up for ease of play more so there...so I am less upset about that line.

If you wanna come help, I will of course take it.  Probably be out there tonight and tomorrow from 6-8:30.  Good Karma will flow if you help, and in the month of the LEO, you know you want it!

depends, I keep on getting a little done, but IDK @ my schedule for work tomorrow.  I may be able to make it happen though and would gladly use the help, if I had 2-3 of use, we could probably finish the staging area in about 1.5-2hours.  I figure that there is about 6 hours of work left

Ryan and I were able to get quite a bit finished today.  8 area from 7's long and the mini shot up the hill is done, but couls always use some touch up.  Its about 85% cleared, there is a little tuft of greenery that needs tended to.  But if you are looking for extra credit #3 can use it from the tee up to the green and along the side of the cliff.

I will be doing some work out there tomorrow and would welcome any help from fellow golfers.  Even if its only 30 mins, let me know if you can help and what times work.  I should be there late afternoon.

the smattering of responses have been great.....but alas, we trudge along....I will be working out there again tonight for about an hour or so, then tomorrow night, will be building the stage, Friday during the day will be cleaing up the last little bit.  The only thing really left to do is to clean up #3, if you can help by doing some work aroud the tee box, and the green, Karma will help on this MUCH shorter layout that will leave many people wondering if the LDO has turned into the prelude to the Ace Race.....
