Great idea Tom, but I feel you are fighting an uphill battle with experienced players, having a huge A tier tourney in such close proximity to you.

Yes you may be right. We did not have a lot of flexibility in our schedule.  Just hoping we get enough experienced players to make it a fun day for some interested beginners. Our goal was to promote the sport of disc golf and to help the Elks Christmas Basket Fund which helps over 200 families with presents and dinner during the holiday.

If any players want to come out and play we would appreciate it. If not we have an awesome players package (t-shirt, disc and Minnie) if anyone wants to buy one.
As of now there is a one in fifteen chance of winning MU/KU football tickets.

You could always switch the format to triples or a 4 man scramble to allow more non experienced players to play with an experienced one.

Great idea Glover, I had just thought about posting that as I read your post. I would LOVe to help if I wasn't playing/helping with the Shunga....as for the Mu/KU tickets, that would be worth the playing alone!  So jealous of who wins em...and if its someone that isn't interested in going I would buy them!

Got two new Sponsors today ICON Tattoo on south 7 highway in blue Springs. Also an Elk member who lives next to hole 3. He is going to be selling adult beverages at the fence line.
This is shaping up to be a really fun event. As it stands a 2 in 18 chance of winning MU/KU tickets at the end of the day.

Last Sunday CD Steiner came out to the lodge and did a clinic for our new players. He did a GREAT job. Thanks CD.   Still hoping for another four or so experienced players.
