I always have good times at any tourney my problem with this one was I worked 47 days 12 hours a day and my scores reflected that. Thanks for everyone who helped putting this thing on. Lost a champion Valkyrie @ the pond Hole to the right of the pond. One question is not about this tourney but all tourneys in summer. Why can't they be started a little earlier like maybe 7:30 am?

ANd I thought that 9:30 was too early......Geesh..... :-*

Charlie, starting them that early only caters to the local crowds.  You can't have an event that wouldn't allow people to come up from Emporia, Columbia, or Des Moines (as was the case in this event) they wouldn't have enough time for travel on a 1-day event.

Even with the Wide Open, we have started at 8 I believe at the earliest.  The only tourney I have played in that was 7:30 was the USDGC (first card off you know) I think the Des Moines Worlds may have done the 7:30-11:30-3:30 tee times for 3 rds/day.

Starting that early is just too much to try to get everything taken care of on a staff to have things ready.  Last minute fixes, drop outs, and add ins from people that can't make it....its too early.

Just some of my ideas off the top of my head.
