#14 at Blue Valley
« on: August 23, 2011, 09:49:50 AM »
I was out playing Blue Valley over the weekend and was curious what is par on hole #14?  It plays like a 3 but just wanted to confirm.

Also, I recorded par for the course in the current setup as 69.  Can someone verify that as well?  Thanks!

     rule 1 - play safe
     rule 2 - be courteous
rule 3 - all holes are par 3

I don't remember which hole that is but this should be useful.

Don't rely on the PDGA to make this determination of Par on the courses.  This is cookie cutter logic to a course that will never see replication.
By the way did you see the new pads out there as well?  Cuts down about 90 minutes from the rounds....look for Cliff Drive League to move to Blue Valley a few times this year.

406 foot with a blind pad, road on left, medium foliage density, 2 driving options or 3 if you a crazy mexican, and my all time favorite road roller hole in the country!

Thanks Jack!

Yes, I did see the new pads going in out there.  Not sure how that is going to differ the flow.  I guess we can call those the women's tees.  :-)

The short placement is just on the next hill from the pad, and the long placement is waaaay past it, to the southwest of #7's pad.

I'm ready to go play it again.  Jack, I think I beat your personal best by carding a 75.  Hehehehe.

It is a guideline, not a hard and fast rule. That was all I was suggesting.

And I agree with Tracy. Old ball golf used to have half pars which would be very useful in disc golf, though harder to calculate for most.

no worries, I understand what you meant, I wanted to make sure that some of the less seasoned players didn't think that was the Bible of par determinations.  1/2 par....hmmmm........
