Is there a way to donate for those unable to attend the tournament?
Will there be a banner at the tournament with Keizer's smiling face on it?

Glover, if you donate I will return an Ace Roc of yours that i found this weekend in my truck! 8) :o

As for Keizer's photo?  Well......there's already enough bad things at cliff drive according to others, so why would we want more of it out there?  :)

You've had that disc since the Kelloggs company picnic that somebody grabbed and put in your truck.
You should have a Cobra and possibly another disc or 2 of mine in there too.
How about getting me all my discs back at the same time?

So your saying you are holding my disc or discs for ransom if I donate to the TLC?

well.....I had some people that went through some boxes of discs in the garage, then I went to grab it, and the name Glover was there as was a Down Under Ace on it, yellow Roc.  I'll look through there to see about a Cobra with your name on it.

I am not holding it ransom at this point......but I could be persuaded to auction it off as others in here may find it amusing to be able to pry "your disc" to the highest bidder..... ;D

Nah dude, I wouldn't do it on purpose.  But I like the sound of it!  ;)

Is there a way to donate for those unable to attend the tournament?

Anyone unable to attend but still wishing to donate has four options:

1. Send cash or check to the tournament via a trusted friend.
2. Visit Disc Golf World, 509 E. 18th St., Kansas City, MO  64108
3. Mail a check to KCFDC, PO Box 414064, Kansas City, MO  64141
4. Bring your donation to next year's tournament.  8)

Please make all checks payable to KCFDC.  Also include "TLC donation" in the Memo.

Since this is a fundrasier is there a payout for pro divisions? Or is it just smaller.

usually, yes to both.  this is a big reason many charity events do not sanction through the pdga as they have minimum payouts for their events.  some open players choose not to compete because they make this connection.  while i have had a lot of fun at numerous charity events in several states, they are usually more casual and less competitive.  i don't view course improvements as a charity event, more of a cosmetic enhancement for all disc golfers and community members to enjoy.  i made the decision to run this event with a specific target for the proceeds but am interested in maintaining a competitive atmosphere through the rules set forth by the pdga.  i hope all competitors feel like they are at a regular tournament at a great course, nothing more.  i intend for payouts to be inline with those ideals.  a few trees at a time is fine by me.

FWIW, when I had the idea for a tournament such as this one, it was with the intention of using the proceeds to plant trees throughout the Back 9 at Cliff Drive. Anyone who has played Cliff knows how some of those open holes can be rather boring and uninspiring, and this is mainly due to a lack of trees to act as a border, or reference points, or just for plain old aesthetics. Also, I thought posting my pencil-drawn, chicken-scratch "mock flier" for the tournament last year would elicit a few laughs, considering some of the prejudiced, insensitive, and inflammatory remarks I've made regarding trees on disc golf courses and "in fairways". ;D

Anyway, if this tournament ends up becoming an annual event, the proceeds will eventually wind up being used to buy trees for ALL of our KC-metro courses, not just Cliff Drive. The storms we've had this year have taken a toll on many of our large trees at our area courses, and it's better to start replacing those trees sooner rather than later. We have fundraiser tournaments to benefit everything from the homeless, to medical research, to cops on horses, and now we have one we can use to give back to and help sustain the environment we play in. Hope to see this tournament fill to capacity for a great cause! 8)

you forgot disc obstacles  :o

Sounds like you're volunteering to run a sister event  ;)
