did I read correctly that nick lowe is opening for them? that should be a holler and a half, he knew the bride when she used to rock and roll.

Can't make it to that but I am going to see John Prine tonight..   8)

Nick Lowe is amazing. I saw him at the Lonestar in Westport many moons ago and got to meet him after the show. Not just an amazing talent but a truly nice individual as well.  He was Johnny Cash's son-in-law and collaborated with him for a time too. I hope the crowd treats him with respect and listens instead of ignoring him and making a bunch of racket. I suspect his show will be acoustic. His rock band days appear to be behind him. Yes, Nick Lowe is opening up for Wilco.  It's a solo acoustic set.

He has also been coming out during Wilco's encores, performing some of his own stuff with Wilco as his backing band.  Selections have included I Love My Label, 36 Inches High and Cruel to Be Kind.
