2012 Leagues

A couple of ideas that we're floating around with.

*  No more Pro 2.  Leagues will be $5 for each division.  If you'd like to have some sort of extra side bet, it will be the responsibility of the people playing, not the league director to handle that.
*  Flattening the Masters payout.  In the past, we've had those Masters good enough to play and cash in Open on the fence when deciding what division to play in based on where the most money was.  Flattening the Masters payout would push those people into Open, as the greatest chance for winning large sums of money will lie in Open.
*  Cliff back to Mondays (with the 1st of each month at Blue Valley).  Swope back to Tuesdays.

What do you think about these purposed changes?  Do you have any you'd like to see implemented?

I don't want to pay the PDGA for our leagues, when we need the $$$ to support our local club.

We as a club/location of KCFDC courses pay over $1000/yr to the PDGA with our events that we currently hold, and that will be even more this year based on DD move here, so I hope the BoD doesn't lean that direction!

The pin placements in our town does make it hard to propegate numbers, but needs to be done!

At this time, none of the existing leagues in Kansas City will be affiliated with the PDGA's new league system.

league rating of 420, pdga is a fine organization, but stay the freak outta our wallets, some of us want a seniors discount just for dues.

I don't like how it sounds its still a possibility. I moved to day shift this past winter and am planning on attending leagues this year that I have not had opportunity to play in a little over 5 years. If the Bod decides to give a portion to PDGA. I won't participate. I may even drop out of the club after being a loyal member all these years. If enough people threatened to drop out I would think it would force the Bod to represent its members in the fashion they deserve. If there was compelling evidence showing how it will help the local scene it may sway my thinking.
