Shouldn't be up to him to realize it next week.  He simply shouldn't be allowed to play am anymore.

I would have guessed Steve Drew.

there is NO WAY that tattoo would play Am if Masters was available, especially with Teddy Crocker and Bill Neenan in Masters.

I was gonna say the course was super short, conditions great, and maybe somebody just had a great night. If you kill it one week, that doesn't imply it is a given. The great thing about any individual sport is that any given day you can rock or it can rock you.

Swope League 4/24/2012

One of the more windy league nights this year.  It was mid 80's with a wind coming out of the south.  However the wind began to die down (doesn't it always??) before the end of the round.  The shot of the night was watching Ekolk warming up on #2.  He stepped up for his first throw, and hit a beautiful ace.  Too bad it wasn't during the league round.  The ace fund it getting up there.  With all 16 players getting into the Ace Fund this week, it has risen to $299.   CTP was won by Ben C - he got a 165 Buzzz.

For the final time (this spring), we played all short pads with no mandos and no O.B.  Beginning next week, things will start to get mixed up more.

***OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:  Beginning next week, on the first Tuesday of each month, I will be playing random draw dubs (format to be decided later).***

I will not be able to make it next week, so Ekolk has graciously agreed to head up league next week.  Thanks Eric!  I should return the following week.

Okay, now for the scores:

Open:
C.D. S. - 42 - $14.00
Mark S. - 49 - $8.00
John F. - 49 - $8.00
Fred F. - 52
Kevin A. - 52
T.J. R. - 54
Ekolk - 54
Philip S. - 54
Terry E. - 55
Ben C. - 55

Ams:
Ian S. - 54 - $7.00 KC Kash
Kelly W. - 56 - $4.00 KC Kash
Van S. - 58

Ladies:
Suzette N. - 57 - $9.00
Rhonda C. - 66
Megan O. - 76

Again, next week, random draw dubs with Ekolk.

Swope League 05/08/2012

The weather could not have been more perfect for a mid Spring night.  The temps were in the upper 60's at tee off, and there was little to no wind most of the round.  The course was set mostly medium length, and we played with full mandos, O.B., and all long pads, and had plenty of sunlight at the end of the round.  Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was not able to play, but enjoyed watching the others play.  It also gave me some great putt practice time.

Open:
Shannon C. - 45 - $12.00
Joe H. - 48 - $9.00
Mark S. - 50 - $3.00
CD S. - 51
Mike M. - 51
Jason L. - 55
Fred F. - 56
Matt C. - 58

Women:
Suzette N. - 69 - $3.00 KC Kash

Ams:
John C. - 64 - $7.00 KC Kash
Dan L. - 65 - $4.00 KC Kash (first time playing league)
Ron C. - 70

As mentioned, we had a first time league player.  I got to talk to him on Saturday at DGD and convinced him to come out to league night, and it was good to see him.  I think we now have a new regular Tuesday night player.

CTP went to Shannon C.

Swope League 5/15/2012

First off, I am sorry it took me so long to get these scores posted...been kinda hectic in the Spratford household the past couple of days.

The weather was once again gorgeous.  There was really no wind to speak of.  The temperatures were in the upper 70's at tee off.  Could not have asked for a better night.  We had 26 out on this beautiful night, including some first time Swope Leaguers.  Thanks for coming out.  Shot of the night, Matt Crowe stepping up to #9 and making a beautiful ace on his first throw.  Great news on that, it was a half hour before league started, and no aces were hit during the round, so the Ace Fund continues to go up.  Eric K. won a Champion Destroyer in the CTP.

Open:
CD S. - 45 - $10.50
Mike M. - 45 - $10.50
Jon O. - 48 - $1.00
Steve T. - 48 - $1.00
Terry E. - 48 - $1.00
Jay R. - 50
John F. - 53
Fred F. - 53
Eric K. - 57

Masters:
Miles M. - 49 - $6.00
Mark S. - 49 - $6.00
Dan H. - 51
Dale W. - 62

Women:
Suzette N. - 59 - $5.00 KC Kash
Mary W. - 73

Ams:
Ryan N. - 50 - $13.00 KC Kash
Matt C. - 51 - $10.00 KC Kash
Steve D. - 52 - $9.00 KC Kash
Jordan Z. - 53 - $5.00 KC Kash
Eddie C. - 54 - $3.00 KC Kash
Stew P. - 56
Joel S. - 58
Kyle Z. - 59
Andrew W. - 60
Van S. - 62
Dan L. - 67
