Kelloggs has brought back the company picnic and is being held at E. H. Young Riverfront Park in Parkville,Mo. right next to Argosy Casino. The picnic is July 14th and I am asking the company to allow me to put on a CTP event as one of their attractions. This is a company only event BUT I am asking for club volunteers who are willing to help spread the good news about our sport, the club and the great things we do for the city. I hope to get club members willing to take time to help me. I have asked the club to put up a banner and looking for the club to donate the Wizards we can use for the event. I am planning on having a shorter CTP for the kids. I am getting the use of 2 portable Mach lll. All volunteers will be able to enjoy all the food and festivities offered. In years past we had a Nascar simulator, a jumpy deal for the kids, horse shoes, a miitary helicopter land letting people board and view the insides and take off, Riverside fire trucks and personnel, 2 Men and A Grill Catering, duck pond for kids, bingo, tug-o-war, face painting, pictures with Tony the Tiger and Ernie the Elf and I'm sure there is stuff I left out but I guarantee a good time. We expect upwards of about 500 people to attend but you never know how many will participate in the CTP event. The last time I did this Jack Lowe and several others in the sport came out to help and the response from the attendees went well.
I will need a definate head count at some point as they only allow those with wrist bands to enter the park. That head count can include family members of the volunteers. I will post more info when it becomes available.
