Sorry to hear Lee. This week is not looking good for a family dog of ours. Best to remember the great times and fun they bring to your life.

I like to think we will get to see our dogs that have passed again someday. They'll be there to greet us when we leave this plane and go to the next. 

One of my favorite Twighlight Zone episodes tells the story of this old hunter man and his dog. In fact, I think it was the best Twighlight Zone episode of all. The episode is entitled "The Hunt", and I think anybody that owns, has owned, or is thinking bout owning a dog will appreciate it.

Lee,   So sorry to hear about Cooter.  He was a great dog and I know he meant a lot to you.  You and Cooter were nearly inseparable and I know how much you valued taking Cooter to disc    In a way, he was the Scooby to your Shaggy.  It's a tough loss.  Hang in there, Lee.

I remember asking you about Cooter on Sunday.  I wish he could have made it out one more time.  He had the best life and a great owner.  Always remember the many good times you two had.

I am sorry you had to lose him.  I know how hard that is.  Every time a best friend passes, I feel the pain all over again. 

 But I like to think Coot and McCoy are pissing on every tree, on any course they want to roam.  They will make their way back to hole 1, when we join them again.

I closed up at first but the more i talked and listened about my little bud, the better i felt.

Pets are simply members of the family.  Irreplacable.  I had a cat for 23 years, had to put him down a number of years ago.  I still "trip" over him on the stair he used to sleep on.  I still "feel" him wrapped my head while I sleep at night.  I still occasionally hear him say "water" which he clearly did when his bowl was empty.  You never get completely over the loss of a great friend whose only purpose in life was blind love and devotion.  I'm sorry Joe, your golf game may never quite "feel" the same, but you'll have great memories of your very best friend the rest of your life, if that is any consolation....
