Scenerio:   Playng an island hole where a tree on the island overhangs the ob...  Disc thrown lands in tree and is technically safe? due to being supported by dry land yet overhanging ob line.... how is this played ????

It is OB. Because the lie is marked directly under the disc.

Does the island hole have island rules?  If so, it's out.  It has to finish in the island.

is the island in the middle of an ocean or a really, really big lake? if so, we should give it to you. if not, we should create an extra special drop zone and send you back there. and you have to take a 1 stroke penalty.

If a 2 meter rule is in effect, and the disc is in the boundary of the island, you are safe +1, if no 2 meter rule is in effect, and you are within the boundary, play it from marked spot directly underneath it.

If the tree branch is over hanging on the OB portion, you are OB.
